Support GeoLocation API in Browser

59

Now Implemented!

Description

If the web browser would support the GeoLocation API, you could use numerous third-party online navigation systems at your leisure. Examples of online navigation systems are Google Maps, including Google Streetview (this is the real Google Maps like you use in any other web browser), Nokia Here, Bing Maps, MapQuest, and more.

Also, other services, such as Yelp, for example, require the GeoLocation API to function.

Competitive/Pricing/Notes

Currently, the web browser does not allow third-party maps, for commercial reasons, a Tesla sales rep in the Netherlands told me. I’m not convinced that this is correct, but I add it out of completeness.

Status

Now available with v5.9 software.
