Improve the scratch resistance of the inside door panel metal trim.

Model S shiny metallic trim near the door handle-in the door panel may get scratched with a finger ring or if holding other metallic objects such as house keys. A rigid plastic mold or a protectant may help.

Moderator: Checking my four-year-old car didn’t see any scratches, but I don’t wear a ring.

Status

The mid-year 2021 Model S and X changed the door panel. It no longer has any metal trim near the door pull.
