Improve the automatic screen brightness.

There is an automatic brightness option on the screen at the moment, but as far as I can see, it only turns on night mode at night and that’s it.
I hope Tesla will implement true automatic brightness so that when you go from sunny to overcast weather, the screen will be slightly darker, and most importantly when you go into a tunnel or for some other reason your surroundings go much darker in a second, the screen immediately goes to night mode.
The way it works now, I’m completely blinded by the screen when I go into a tunnel, and my passenger has to switch to night mode as fast as he or she can.
Perhaps tunnels in the US are better lit up, but here in Europe, driving through a tunnel is exactly like driving at night.

Implemented around software release 7.0 or 7.1.

I disagree that it should automatically switch to night mode in tunnels. I think the fact that it "sticks" on day mode in tunnels is a feature, not a bug, and I like it very much. I find day mode much easier to read, and switching back and forth between the two modes in every tunnel would be quite a nuisance.
For the record, I'm from Germany.

I can't find anything in the new features list for update 5.9 that suggests that this has been fixed. Can you give me a link or some more details, please?
