Description
Include GPS-based exclusion times, such as from 3 pm to 9 pm, when some utilities charge a peak rate far greater than other times.
Competitive/Pricing/Notes
In Arizona, we have peak rates from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm (from May through October) and two peak rates from 5 AM to 9 AM and 5 PM to 9 PM from November through April.
What makes it worse, is on our Solar Customer Generation plan with SRP in Phoenix, there is a DEMAND CHARGE for the highest 30-minute average demand. With phantom drain, I think I just blew my demand up from 5.6 kW to 7.1 kW tonight since I forgot to slide the target down to 50% after it was charged up this morning. This will cost me an extra $26, not a lot, but a waste.
