Auto Volume Compensation for each Source

30

Description

Auto-Adjust the volume so that it appears at the same volume level when selecting different audio sources.

Competitive/Pricing/Notes

On my Model S, I find often that switching between Bluetooth (phone), cell calls, FM radio, or XM radio that the volume varies dramatically. Sometimes when I get in the vehicle the radio volume is too loud. Often when switching to a phone call I need to raise the volume to hear. With tech today why can’t the amp balance the volume between inputs?

Moderator: This has been a long-time problem for cars and receivers in general. No one has figured a way to solve it automatically. Some high-end receivers have manual level adjust for each input which helps, but these are hard to get set right, and I suspect few owners even know these adjustments exist.

Also agree with autovolume to compensate for varying wind noise when windows and sunroof open as it does in some convertibles.

Agree with autovolume... and also with the speed sensitive volume control - my 2012 Prius had that and it worked great!

I'd like to see it go a step further and also adjust the volume according to speed of the car.
