Description

Would be nice to have Velcro or a hook to anchor the floor mats, particularly the driver’s side, from “curling up”.

Moderator: Third-party mats typically include a plastic screw anchor that locks the carpets into place. It screws into the existing carpet. This only works when the mat already has holes that fit over the plastic anchors.

Status

Starting in 2015, Tesla mats do use velcro.

Velcro doesn't work very well in the driver's floor. Use the Audi floor mat snaps

...and my 9/2015 S90D came with Velcro attachments under both front mats, and optional Tesla all-weather mats I replaced them with use Velcro with the screw-in anchors as previous posters indicated.

My 4/2015 S85D has floor mats with Velcro to screw-in anchors but they still roll up and interfere with my 'go' foot.

My 9/30/14 P85+ has velcro that works great. The Tesla Weathertech mats do come with screw in hooks for the driver mat.

I got my tesla on 13/12 and got velcro under the mats provided with the car as OEM.

Maybe tesla corrected the problem.

I love my Tesla but floor mat, particularly the driver's side, is not something Tesla should be proud of. If I were a Tesla executive, I would replace that free of charge for owners. The curling mat is a dangerous hazard.

I have a major problem with the floor mat curling up under the accelerator pedal.  Would be very nice option.
