Remote Window Close

I think this is too dangerous too. I would like a notification in the app one minute after locking the car that the windows are open. I can decide myself if it was a mistake or not or I do need to close them now, also with regard to conditions in car ensurance. Should this be another feature request here?

My child keep forgetting to close his window. I would love to close all windows from the fob or phone.

I agree with Brian, even a alert to sms and/or Tesla app.

First thought: if pressing long the roof of the key, while standing at the car, complete closing of all windows, doors and pane. Thats how other car builder do.

I understand the arguments for safety concerns over auto-closing windows and sunroof -- although I'd counter-argue that all have safety sensors built-in by law to prevent harm.

Regardless of which side of the debate you're on, hopefully at least Tesla could implement a notification to the Smartphone App (or better yet a nice interrupting SMS message) if windows and/or sunroof is open and rain sensor detects precipitation.

In addition, there could be an auto close mechanism triggered by rain. As there are already rain sensors on the windshield, why not integrate with the window controls and have the windows close most of the way and the sunroof all of the way should they be left open and it starts to rain?

Karsten; the safety features should of course be applied whenever windows/sunroof is closed. What should happen is that the window should stop immediately and reverse slightly. The user should be allerted in the app that a window could not be closed due to an obstruction.

I alsi agree that a close action should be the default, and you should be able to disable the open feature alltogether. If you accidentally open the windows by having the FOB in your pocket it could have serious consequences. Theft from (or theft of) cars with open windows aren't covered by my insurance, I know. Also, the sun doesn't always shine. ;)

Power windows already have a safety feature that stops closing for an obstacle.

I agree with Jim. Holding down the remote should be a toggle, either all open or all close. in the case where windows/sunroof are in a mixed position, closed should be the default.

My argument for this is: You can inadvertently use the remote to open all the windows. (Hold down on the roof of the remote.) If you can do an action with the remote, you should be able to un-do the action with the remote.)

What happens, when a child puts his Hand in the Window and you are closing them per App?
