I have a daughter-in-law who owns a BMW. She pointed to the seat extenders on both front seats. These are mechanical extensions to the seat that allow for a 2″ increase in seat length, making long trips easier on the thighs for those of us with long legs. They are pulled out (forward) or pushed in (back) easily.
