Have a button to turn off all lights below 5 mph/ 8 kph (front and rear).

For situations calling for politeness among pedestrians, star parties, events, etc. Give the driver control over lights [and bells and chimes] when silence or darkness is called for. If the speed exceeds a threshold, the normal operation would resume.

The button might be labeled ‘Dark’ and/or ‘Silent’ would override software settings when pressed.

Moderator: Safety and legal regulations may prevent disabling lights like reverse and brakes on public roads. Front lights can currently be turned off under controls.
