Tesla offers only 2 choices: headlights off at exit, or headlights off 90 seconds after exit. Offer more options such as 20 seconds and 45 seconds.

My Nissan Leaf solves this by adding 30 seconds to a timer for each time I flash the headlights. 1 flash = 30 segonds of headlights. Up to 2 minutes. Something similar might be useful, as it's not always enough with 30 seconds, and other times 2 mintes are way too much. (neighbours call me to tell me I left the lights on).
