Password Support in Browser

The username/password dialog for some sites do not work on the current browser.

I would like to access my home automation portal from the car’s screen on my way home to switch lights, open the gate, turn heating on, or whatever.
Even better if I could securely store my access credentials somehow.

Status

Tesla has stated a browser update is in the works which may solve the issue.
