Tesla does offer an effective shade in its store, but I’d prefer something built-in.

I wish I could close the shade with a click of a button during the heavy sun hours, and open it when the sun isn’t strong (e.g. evening). I had a KIA with such a roof, it was perfect.

Moderator: Other cars, like the KIA, use cheap glass that requires a sunshade. The Tesla roof uses a sophisticated multi-layer glass design that blocks out about 85% of the heat and 99% of UV rays. Few users that own the car see the need for a shade, but some would like it for less light transmittance.
