For older cars or those that want more features, you can add your own dashcam.
Installation of a combination camera and recorder can monitor your car for fun footage of what you see while driving, notes about key locations, accident video, valet joy riding (and joy ride discouragement by having video) and parking damage recording. Depending on the device, features can include HD video, audio recording, GPS location, battery backup, auto-recording upon shock detection, activity recording while parked and removable memory.
