For those with a 2022 Model 3/Y where the two front USB ports only offer power, you can replace a module to regain USB charging and USB data. These can be used for the dashcam video recording or music, the same as the glovebox USB port. Presumably, due to limited chip availability, Tesla removed the data feature that existed in prior years.
The TParts Console Data Transmission Module was discontinued in late 2023. You can contact Tesplus to see if they plan to bring it back.
