Tesla offers a performance boost upgrade. Upgrades available include:
- Model 3 Performance Boost for LR AWD- 0-60 mph time goes from 4.4 seconds to 3.9 seconds. This is the equivalent to about a 50 hp improvement. The cost in the USA is $2,000.
- Model Y Performance Boost for LR AWD – 0-60 mph time goes from 4.8 seconds to 4.3 seconds. This is the equivalent to about a 50 hp improvement. The cost in the USA is $2,000.
If your car is eligible, in the App, select “Upgrades”.
Now this upgrade is different than buying the Performance model of the vehicle. The full Performance Model 3/Y includes:
- Higher top speed
- Even faster 0-60 mph performance (3.2 seconds for the Model 3, 3.5 seconds for Model Y)
- Larger, stiffer calipers and lightweight two-piece discs
- Red painted brake covers
- Larger special rims
- Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires
- Lowered suspension
- Aluminum alloy pedals
- Slightly less range
