Rear-Facing Seats were once available to be added to almost any Model S:
- The very first 15 cars (or so), cannot be retrofitted.
- For VINs up to P05428, the crossbar (i.e. reinforced bumper) is already installed and the retrofit is $3,000
- For VINs beyond P05428, the crossbar is also added, for a total cost of $3,400.
