Remote key card access

Non-smart ‘phone owners are already disadvantaged by not having access to the app, but the need to touch a key card to a sensor to open and lock the car is doubly frustrating. Could easily be lost if kept in a pocket, and fiddly to use if kept in a wallet. Also there’s a significant delay when placing the card on the sensor to the car opening, and it may take two or three attempts. All because Tesla decide that a key fob shouldn’t be included in the price of a premium car. It would be much more acceptable if the car sensed the proximity of the key card, in the same way it it responds to the ‘phone (though I appreciate this couldn’t be by bluetooth), and the car opens without having to place against the sensor, and locks when walking away.
