Description
Rather than one fixed nighttime brightness level, have the brightness auto-adjust over a range based on the outside brightness level, so that dusk is dimmer than daytime, but is brighter than full night.

This could be done with several steps or have a continuous range between the current day and night settings.
Status
Implemented in version 7.1 as an option, and set on by default.

Yes, and since it would be smaller changes to brightness, it could be more responsive. I've noticed I sometimes have to be driving for a minute or two outside in the daytime after starting the car in a dark garage before it switches to day mode. If it were light sensitive, presumably it would start the adaptation more quickly.
