This DIY project created by Rick Hesel provides a downward front view to make parking easier and avoid nasty curbs. It starts with the purchase of a Tesla rear camera, some custom cables, and an electronic switcher so it can be viewed when the camera is selected in the MCU. Costs for this was about $600 plus your labor, but the Tesla camera cost has come down from $345 to $76, dropping the total cost to about $330.
